Music, sculpture and architectural form

The original study translates the soprano and bass lines of Christian Petzold’s Menuet in G into paired curves. Note duration defines their span along X, frequency supplies height along Y, and successive measures develop along Z. Connecting the profiles produces a continuous three-dimensional form.
The architectural interpretation explores that form at the scale of a tall building. Curved surfaces, deep folds and changing openings carry the sculpture’s musical sequence through the façade. The new visualisations are unbuilt conceptual studies of the original sculpture’s spatial possibilities.
Sculpture and architectural research: Architect Denislav Sokolov / Deniz Atasoy. Musical source: Christian Petzold, Menuet in G. Original sculpture study and earlier architectural interpretation from the author’s portfolio; new architectural visualisations are unbuilt conceptual studies.

Architectural drawings, models and visualisations are design representations; project status is stated separately.
Form follows music.
As you move through the space, corridor becomes feminine, you become the masculine.
Invisible light is hidden in d-archness that ego does not seek.
