A science museum proposal at the former barracks on Via Guido Reni, developed for Urges Architecture S.R.L.

The proposal for Rome’s science museum works with the former military barracks on Via Guido Reni. A new architectural layer enters into dialogue with the existing fabric, giving a cultural programme a presence within an inherited urban setting.

The composition interprets Thomas Kuhn’s idea of paradigm shifts through twisting square geometries. Axonometric studies, sections and façade details connect that conceptual framework with structure, material and construction.
